As part of the GLUES project an investigation of available scientific data infrastructures has been conducted. The survey particularly addressed the provided contents and functionalities, the supported data formats and interfaces, system architectures, licensing and funding. Due to the huge number of available platforms, the survey has been restricted to bigger infrastructures that are usually not bound to single research institutions or projects. Although our main research interest is on scientific environmental data and geodata infrastructures the survey is not restricted to a particular scientific domain. The list below provides a summary of the study's results and an approach to classify the investigated infrastructures.

The list is going to be continuously extended. Contents were copied from the corresponding web pages and linked information sources. The information has been collected carefully and to the best of our knowledge. However, some entries might be erroneous, incomplete or outdated and we apologize for that. If you recognize any mistake or if you want to add information about another Scientific Data Infrastructure to the list, please send an e-Mail to .
